Interactive chair, host and speaker for events in the Netherlands

I'm Jerre Maas, a bilingual (English/Dutch) chair, host, quizmaster and moderator based in Tilburg. Social psychologist by training, and for over 15 years co-founder of the technology that lets audiences take part live.

Interaction

No one-way traffic. With live polls, statements, audience questions and games, your audience becomes part of the programme. Not as a gimmick, but because people remember what they took part in.

Tailor-made

Every event starts with a proper briefing. Who is in the room, and what should they know or do afterwards? I build the day around that. No standard story, no stock jokes.

What I do

Chair

I keep the common thread, guard the timing and get the best out of speakers and panels. For conferences, symposia and knowledge days.

Host & presenter

Awards, anniversaries, live broadcasts and company parties. Energetic on stage, calm when something goes wrong.

Quizmaster

From road safety quizzes for primary schools to a game show for first-year students. I present, the room plays along on their phones.

Moderator

Panel discussions, debates, workshops and dinner debates. I ask the question the audience actually wants to ask.

Speaker

Keynotes on interaction, entrepreneurship and AI, based on what I build and experience myself.

"I chair for the participants, not for the organisation."
- Jerre Maas

Keynotes

01

Why your audience doesn't participate (and how to change that)

What social psychology says about groups, attention and engagement, and what I've seen work and fail in 15 years of audience interaction. The audience becomes the test group: this keynote is interactive itself.

02

AI at work: from hype to action

No visions of the future, but what is possible today. With examples of AI tools I build myself, from an HR assistant to live summaries of brainstorms.

03

Entrepreneurship is pivoting

From chair to event software to AI: my own route shows that entrepreneurship mostly means daring to pivot in time.

04

Build instead of meet

With AI you can turn an idea into a working prototype within a day. On speeding up innovation by making first and talking later.

05

The brain behind decisions

On bias, peer pressure and the surprising reasons we do what we do. Recognisable, well-founded and directly applicable.

06

The future of work is human

As a former Director of People & Culture and builder of an AI HR assistant, I see both sides: what technology takes over, and where people matter more.

Tools for events

Besides the stage, I'm an entrepreneur. Over 15 years ago I started the events branch of livewall with Eelco and Frits. Our first product, PresentersWall, let audiences vote live via smartphone before Mentimeter and Kahoot existed. Today we also build AI tools for events, and I use them myself as a chair.

  • PresentersWall

Live polls, quizzes, statements and audience questions via smartphone, with results on the big screen.

  • Hitster LIVE

The popular music quiz, played live with the whole room.

  • Fan of the Match

Fan engagement for sports clubs and events: vote, predict and play along.

  • Robin.ai

An AI chat assistant for your event: attendees ask about programme, venue or speakers.

  • Sparkie

My AI sidekick as a chair: it listens to speakers and suggests sharp follow-up questions and visuals.

  • EchoSphere

Records table discussions during brainstorms and summarises them live.
